Alma Sheet Metal Limited manufactures a wide range of Stainless Steel fabrications from complex pipework to Pharmaceutical products and Textile machinery - each requiring a wide range of welding skills.

We have a fully trained workforce including welders coded to either ASME IX or more currently B.S.E.N. 287 Part 1 & B.S.E.N. 288 Part 3.

TIG welding is more commonly used today and is one area that we specialise in when welding some of the more exotic Steels such as Inconel, Hastelloy, Nickel Stainless Steels and Aluminium. This type of welding process offers more control where distortion levels can be kept to a minimum which is critical on all of our fabricated products.

Manual Metal Arc Welding is also carried out on the premises and we ensure consumables are stored and kept at the correct temperature so that the standards required by our customers are always met. Traceability of all welding consumables is fully maintained as part of our ongoing quality control procedure.

MIG Welding is a process which is more commonly associated with general fabrication work. This process is not frequently used by us but our welders are well qualified in this process.

In the manufacture of some of our products, Spot Welding and Stud Welding are commonly used on panel work or control boxes etc. and in all manner of sheet metal work. Both processes help to keep distortion to a minimum.
